Butternut squash, apples and pomegranate seeds on a bed of fresh arugula, all drenched in a creamy, high protein blue cheese dressing that’s actually good for you, so you can really pour it on thick!
Dan Fenelon Installation 2012
The man-made mechanical forest, five years in the making, consists of 18 supertrees that act as vertical gardens, generating solar power, acting as air venting ducts for nearby conservatories, and collecting rainwater. To generate electricity, 11 of the trees are fitted with solar photovoltaic systems that provide lighting and assist with water flow in the conservatories below.
HOLLIS BROWN THORNTON
I realize that these images may come as a shock for some of you, seeing as how I’m sure somewhere there are VHS tapes and cassette tapes buried underground in some early hipster time capsules.
But Hollis Brown Thornton ’s paintings (yup, they’re paintings; acrylic on canvas) take me back - like Rob Sheffield Love is like a Mixtape back. He says the main drive of his work is “to explore the convergence of past ideas into modern sensibilities”…yeah, I dig that.
Did I happen to mention that you can grab a print over at 20x200? Yeah…you can own one.
